As promised we have a brand new gallery layout, I did indeed make another one as I didn’t like the other I had made.  I hope you all like it as much as I do.

Head over to the gallery to see it live.

So the plan was to code the gallery layout I had made for the site, but then as I was downloading photos I found this gorgeous shoot of Anna and made this amazing layout.  I am so proud of it I think its possibly my best work to date.  problem is the gallery layout I made looks awful in comparison.  So I think I’ll be making another layout for the gallery and putting it up.

I hope you all love this layout as much as I do!  if you have any issues with it, or errors please let me know by commenting on this post.

Adoring has a brand new domain!  I was able to acquire a much better domain for the site, so from now on annakendrick.net is our main domain.  A-Kendrick.com will be redirecting to here so everyone will be aware of this change.  I will renew our old domain for one year and then after that I will let it expire.

On a side note, I am very sorry for the lack of updates, or well no updates.  I have had alot of changes occur in my personal life and that on top of uni had me taking a very long hiatus.  I am now back and am hoping to have the site heading on the track to being up-to-date in the next coming weeks.  I also have a new layout designed for the gallery and will be working on getting that up.

Marjane Satrapi, the filmmaker behind “Persepolis,” makes her English-language debut with the horror-comedy.

Lionsgate has acquired U.S. rights to The Voices, the Sundance horror-comedy starring Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton and Anna Kendrick.

The movie is directed by Marjane Satrapi, the Iranian-born filmmaker who is perhaps best known for the animated movie Persepolis, who is making her English-language debut.

Voices, written by Michael R. Perry, centers on a genial but disturbed factory worker named Jerry (Reynolds) who has a crush on a co-worker (Arterton). Without giving too much away, things go south and get even worse, as Jerry begins taking counsel from his foul-mouthed and murderous cat as well as his good-natured dog. The movie mixes murder, fantasy and talking animals (and talking heads) as well as several tones.

It was produced by Matthew Rhodes, Adi Shankar, Roy Lee and Spencer Silna. The companies involved include 1984 Private Defense Contractors and is a Mandalay Vision, Studio Babelsberg and Vertigo Entertainment production.

CAA and UTA Independent Film Group, along with Loeb and Loeb, repped the filmmakers.

Anna Kendrick opened up about her newest role in the film adaptation of the off-Broadway musical The Last Five Years, saying that she wept when she initially read the script.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Pitch Perfect star opened up about how she emotional this film will be for her.

Jason Robert Brown’s 2001 musical will be adapted into an indie film written and directed by Richard LaGravenese. Kendrick will star alongside Smash star Jeremy Jordan in the film.

Kendrick admits that she originally did not listen to the cast recording before receiving the script but she did recognize the name of the writer.

Parade is my favorite musical of all time, and I think that Jason Robert Brown is an absolute genius, and so many people told me to listen to this recording and see the show, and for some reason it just never happened,” she said.

“It wasn’t until I got this script and saw that it was Jason Robert Brown that I even familiarized myself with the material,” Kendrick continued. “I wept my way through the script before I ever heard the music, and then the next morning I woke up and re-read the script while I listened to the recording and I was just an absolute mess because it’s so beautiful.”

When Kendrick was 12, she was nominated for her first Tony Award. It’s no surprise her theater background is coming full-circle back into her life within film – like in the musical Pitch Perfect which she recently agreed to appear in the sequel to. However, this doesn’t mean she wants to go back to the stage.

“I know I shouldn’t admit this, but it’s not like it’s some big secret – I just could not sing The Last Five Years eight times a week,” she said.

New Pitch Perfect 2 totally in the works,Anna Kendrick & Rebel Wilson returning & more. According to a recent report from The Hollywood Reporter, the new “Pitch Perfect 2″ movie is totally going to happen, and they’re bringing back the main superstars, Anna Kendrick aka Beca and Rebel Wilson!

Also Hunger Games actress, Elizabeth Banks, will be directing the follow-up. She produced the first one, but now, she’ll be directing. The first movie brought in great numbers, grossing more than $115 million dollars ,worldwide, on a $17 million dollar budget, so it definitely paid Universal Pictures back in spades.

It also did very well in ancillary markets by generating roughly $135 million dollars in physical and digital home entertainment sales across North America to date, making it one of the top-performing DVD and VOD titles of 2013. If that weren’t enough, the soundtrack was also very successful, going platinum with over 1 million units sold while single Cups went nearly triple platinum with combined sales of a little less than 3 million units sold.

Universal Pictures’ chairman, Donna Langley, stated, Elizabeth Banks ” brings an enormous amount of energy and experience to everything she works on and we’re thrilled that she is making her feature directorial debut on Pitch Perfect 2.” The movie is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters in the Summer 2015.
