There’s a lot of reasons to enjoy Pitch Perfect, not least of which is Anna Kendrick‘s musical cups routine. Add to this some good gags, breezy-silly pop music and a strong supporting cast and I’m not surprised the film was a popular hit.

And so it follows that Universal will want a sequel. Speaking to Movieweb, male lead Skylar Astin says he’s on the wish list for returning cast members – and he’s not the only one:

I do have a meeting with a Universal representative next week. And I know that Rebel Wilson had hers last weekend. It’s definitely a talking point.

I’m sure that they’ll be speaking to Kendrick too, and if they can get her – or if they have her on a multi-film contract, and exercise that option – we’ll be seeing a sequel.

The original Pitch Perfect opens in UK cinemas this Friday. I saw it in LA a few weeks back and enjoyed it, with a few reservations about its portrayal of gay characters and a bit of naff slapstick. It’s broadly comparable to Bring It On but certainly not as sharp or well made. Still, I think it’s fun and that’s sometimes enough.

As you can see we have a brand new layout.  I made it just like I did the first one, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.  I will catch the site up in the next few hours and the rest I’ll do after Christmas.

Which brings me to that, I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas, and please all do stay safe especially if you are traveling, take it steady, road fatalities are so high so please do be careful!!

Hi visitors,

Sorry I went MIA, but Jasmine has been doing well holding down the fort.  I started a new degree from July onwards and every time I do that the first semester is always an adjustment and since I’ve been so indecisive about what I want out of my life I have shuffled around way too much, I was always “adjusting” so to speak.  So now next semester should be a little easier now I know what to expect.  Don’t worry I don’t plan on transferring again, I’m getting to old for that.  I finally have decided what I want and I’m sticking to it.

So to summarize my absence is this one sentence: Uni has been controlling my life!

Suffice to say, I have been very busy I tried to update sites but I really only got as far as two of mine and even those are behind.  I am currently hammering out my last pieces of assessment and I am hoping to be fully back by Monday.  Fingers crossed.

I look forward to updating again (:
